Upper Hunter police are urging people to report any drunken behaviour on the region's streets, with a spike in the number of malicious damage incidents occurring.
Police have seen a rise in the number of attacks against property during the weekend period, and put the jump down to drunks leaving licensed establishments.
Inspector Brian Tracey from Muswellbrook Police says malicious damage is costly to the victims of the crime.
